Four Creative Ways To Store Childhood Memories

We all know the incredible powers our memories hold and the immense joy that looking through old photos from middle school or picking up a childhood toy can bring. But, if you’re anything like me, it can be hard to throw things out when the time has come. You’ll end up with a pile of stuff somewhere in your closet that you just can’t bear to part with, even though it’s taking up unnecessary space in your room. So what can you do with all of those dear memories that doesn’t involve chucking them in the trash bin? I scoured Pinterest to find the most classic, simple storage solutions so you can take your childhood memories with you through every stage of life.

Ticket Stubs—>Shadow Box

Not quite ready to throw out that Jonas Brothers’ Burning Up Tour ticket stub or your boarding pass from your study abroad trip? No worries, you don’t have to. Buy a shadow box from the local craft store to keep all of your ticketed keepsakes in. Feeling fancy? Personalize your shadow box with typography or a printed backdrop.

Photos—->Scrapbook or Photo String

If your photos are currently sitting in a box somewhere, we have a problem. Don’t let those precious memories go to waste. Go the traditional route with a simple scrapbook or hang a photo string on the walls. Add a string of lights to your photo string for some extra pizzaz.

Random Momentos—->Vintage Suitcase

For those “whosits and whatsits”, repurpose an old suitcase for an undeniably stylish storage solution. Don’t have one on hand? Search Ebay, Craigslist, and Etsy for the perfectly vintage case. Get creative and test out different paints, patterns, and textures to personalize yours.
