If it’s a holiday, and you didn’t make a festive decoration or cocktail, did you really celebrate it?

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, one of our favorite days to celebrate (margaritas, the beginning of spring, guacamole…. come on) we created two fun garlands to help you decorate your space with minimal effort and zero dollars. And we also threw in an easy and simple Instagram-worthy cocktail recipe just for kicks.

What are you waiting for? Call your friends up and make some plans!

Cactus Garland

Directions: Click below to download the template that prints on normal 8.5. x 11 paper. Print as many as you’d like depending on how long you want your garland to be. Cut out your cactuses and use a hole puncher to punch out the black dots. Use string or twin, thread your cactuses on, hang it up and have a party!

tequila garland

Directions: Click the links below to print all 5 pages and print 1 of each on 8.5 x 11 paper. Cut out each flag and punch a hole near the top left and top right corner of each one. Use string or twine and thread your mini flags to make a garland. You can create two (or three) separate garlands like we did and layer them, or string them all onto one. It’s totally up to you!

And now for a fun drink recipe…

the Lala Margarita

What you’ll need:

  • Margarita mix (alcoholic or non-alcoholic… whatever floats your boat)
  • Sparkling water (we used coconut La Croix)
  • Popsicles (we suggest strawberry, coconut or mango flavored)
  • Lime slice for garnish

Simply place your popsicle of choice into your drink glass, add 3 parts margarita mix, one part sparkling water and garnish with a slice of lime. It’s that easy! As the popsicle melts it’ll create a new delicious flavor. This is such a fun drink recipe to make with friends if you get a variety of popsicle flavors, then everyone can customize their drink to their likings. Plus, the drinks just look insanely cute.
